Lori Denton, Founder Soul Sana Retreats
After gymnastics, dance and cheerleading through high school, college and professionally (go Ravens!) left her body unable to handle high-impact workouts but still craving movement, Lori’s transition to yoga and pilates provided a powerfully transformative way to stay connected to both body and mind. After moving to Georgia and missing the connection she had found at studios where she had lived and practiced around North America, she decided to open a studio to build that sanctuary for movement and mindfulness.
In 2019, Lori took the leap and acquired her first yoga studio, marking the beginning of a journey that would see her expand into Pilates in 2022 with the launch of PowerUp Pilates at the Forum Athletic Club in Halcyon. Today, with four flourishing yoga studios and three thriving Pilates locations, Lori remains deeply grateful for her dedicated team, whose passion and expertise empower clients to discover their strongest, most capable selves every single day.
After two decades in the gaming industry, Lori made the decision to leave her corporate role in business development behind, dedicating herself fully to nurturing her growing community of wellness enthusiasts. An unwavering advocate for inclusivity and accessibility, Lori is committed to creating an environment where yoga and Pilates are celebrated as pathways to health and vitality for individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
Lori has a Baptiste Yoga Teaching Credential, Yoga Sculpt and Group Fitness certification from CorePower Yoga, and two 200-hour yoga teacher training certifications from Lift Yoga. Additionally, she is a certified Balanced Body Reformer Pilates instructor.
